RUSAL SPONSORED 11TH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION IN CONAKRY (GUINEA)


The 11th International Exhibition organised by CIEPEX, Guinea ’s largest exhibit agency, was open to the public from March 29 through April 15. UC RUSAL, one of the largest investors in Guinea , became a golden sponsor of the event.

The event brought together domestic and international industrial producers and service providers and to intensify trade flow between Guinea , its African neighbours and other countries. This year, over 300 participants have come from France, Germany, China, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cote-d’Ivoire, Liberia, Morocco, Lebanon, and many other parts of the world.

 

 

Among the companies that took part in the exhibition were UC RUSAL, LG, TOTAL, Canal+, SCHOMBURG, Rashmar, Alcoa, and many more. Guinea was represented by telecom, tourist, and insurance companies, agricultural producers, local artisans, as well as equipment suppliers.

Through photographs and booklets UC RUSAL displayed information about its Guinean assets – Compagnie des Bauxites de Kindia, Friguia bauxite and alumina complex, and the Construction Company of Guinea . The visitors were able to acquaint themselves of the production, social and humanitarian activities of the United Company, about the projects aimed at improving the health, safety and environment situation at the plants.

The exhibition was kicked off with an opening speech by the third Vice-President of Guinea’s National Assembly. The ceremony was attended by diplomats, businessmen, journalists – all who are interested in developing economic and cultural relations with Guinea . Within the two weeks of its running, the exhibition attracted over 200,000 visitors.
