CORPORATE UNIVERSITY

The HR Policy of United Company RUSAL is determined by its growth strategy. Highly qualified personnel are a key factor in maintaining the company’s competitive advantages. Most importantly, corporate education is viewed not merely as a means of developing staff expertise, but as a lever to develop the company as a whole.

United Company RUSAL’s current system of education and the development of personnel covers all categories of operational and office staff, as well as all management levels from shop floor operators and specialists to senior managers. It is available to the entire company, regardless of their geographic location, production type or finished products produced.

The Corporate University aims to educate personnel, living up to United Company RUSAL’s business needs and corporate culture.

Our adopted comprehensive approach to corporate education enables our company to make full use of the available tools, including the company’s Training Centres at each production facility, rotation programmes, internships, the mutual substitution of positions, our ‘United Company RUSAL’s Professionals’ competition and Functional Academies (focusing on HR, Finance etc.).

An education programme based on a modular system is being successfully carried out. Its primary objective is to form a management culture via the ‘Leadership in Changes’ programme and to increase professional expertise of middle managers through implementing ‘Standard of United Company RUSAL’s Managers’.

Education programmes are closely tied to objectives and target audiences, using versatile methods, forms and means of instruction.

United Company RUSAL’s System of Educational Programmes:

  • Obligatory advanced training programmes regulated by the legislation
  • Programmes for training qualified working personnel
  • Additional advanced training programmes aimed at the development of professional competencies
