CONFERENCE "CURRENT INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT"

On the 26th of September, the International Practical Conference "Current industrial environment: Development of self-regulation mechanisms. Certification, audit, ratings", organised by the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce – World Business Organisation (ICC Russia) was held in the World Trade Centre, Moscow.

• How can the business influence the reform state environmental protection activities?
• Does the environmental activity of a company influence its capitalisation?
• Can the environmental activity of a company be an argument in the making of economical decisions?

The participants of the conference discussed these and many other questions. Over 100 delegates from officials of different authorities of the federal and regional levels, heads of subdivisions of environmental protection, environmental safety, and sustainable development of the largest Russian and international manufacturing companies were present at the forum. Also, representatives of audit companies and rating agencies, leading international experts, scientists, and journalists took part in the conference.

UC RUSAL was represented at the conference by the Head of UC RUSAL's Health, Safety & Environment Department Ivan Rebrik. He spoke with the presentation "Conception of sustainable development of a multinational company: Initiatives, approaches, and mechanisms of implementation".
