PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMMES
Charitable seasons
The purpose of our partnership programmes is to restore the tradition of
charity in the regions where we operate, develop cooperation with non-profit
organisations and employ our experience in this field within the local
communities.
The launch of our partnership projects in 2006 was a significant step in the
development of the company’s social policy.
Each of our partnership programmes has three stages. The first is to establish
cooperation between people and facilitate joint creative work. This is
achieved through exhibitions held by public organisations, partnership
competitions and charitable seasons. The second stage is the consolidation of
these partnerships. It is important that are not just one-off events. The final
stage is the development and implementation of partnership projects designed to
solve crucial social problems, which is financed by all the partners.
During 2006 and 2007 UC RUSAL will implement pilot partnership projects. Various
forms of partnership cooperation have already been tested in several Russian
towns. We plan to spread best practice throughout the regions where the company
operates. The main pilot projects include ‘Charitable Season’ in the
Krasnoyarsk region and ‘The Path of Kindness’ in Bratsk.
